Abstract
Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) is a vegetable in great demand. Pakcoy plants contain fiber, vitamins A, B, B2, B6, C, and others. One of the problems in Pakcoy cultivation was fertilization. The soluble nature of urea fertilizer resulted in insufficient plant needs. Giving slow-release fertilizer can be an effort to overcome this problem. This study aimed to determine the effect of the type and dose of fertilizers on the growth and yield of pakcoy. The research design used in this study was RAK (Randomized Block Design) single factor with 7 levels, namely P1: control, P2: urea with a dose of 0.1 gram, P3: urea with a dose of 0.3 gram, P4: urea with a dose of 0.5 gram, P5: slow-release urea with a dose of 0.1 gram, P6: slow-release urea with a dose of 0.3 gram, and P7: slow-release urea with a dose of 0.5 gram. The observed variables were the height of the plant, the number of leaves, the leaf area, the plant's fresh weight, the plant's dry weight, the root's fresh weight, and the root's dry weight. The results showed that there was a significant effect on the plant's height, the plant's fresh weight, and the plant's dry weight. However, there was no significant effect on the observed variable of the number of leaves, the leaf area, the root's fresh weight, and the root's dry weight.
