Abstract

The times have had positive and negative impacts on human life, especially education. Moral decline due to lack of moral and moral education and its implementation in life. Humans need education that is able to answer all the problems faced at all times. Prophetic education is expected to improve education, especially in Indonesia and can advance the nation, knowledge and also Islam. This study aims to determine the concept of prophetic education according to Kuntowijoyo's thinking.
This research is a type of library research whose data sources are obtained from document materials and library materials. After the data is collected, the data is analyzed using content analysis techniques (content analysis), which is a technique for answering each stage of research using data. After conducting research, the theories or data will be concluded into general conclusions.
The results of the study explain that Kuntowijoyo wants to make the prophetic dimension (humanization, liberation and trend) the foundation for building the best people and society. On the other hand, Kuntowijoyo requires an educational format that is able to produce whole human beings who are active in the development of education and its application, who are aware of the nature of humans as servants as well as society as well as prophetic ethics.
