One of the most important factors in moral education is determining the
book or textbook used. A textbook is a book that contains knowledge resulting
from curriculum analysis which is contained in written form. The purpose of this
study is to examine Kitāb Al-Akhlāk Lil al-Banīn in terms of systematic writing
and examine the weaknesses and strengths of Kitāb Al-Akhlāk Lil al-Banīn so
that readers can understand in depth the contents of the book.
This type of research is library research with a qualitative approach. The
research object is Kitāb Al-Akhlāk Lil al-Banīn. The primary data sources for this
research are Kitāb Al-Akhlāk Lil al-Banīn volumes 1, 2 and 3 and secondary
sources come from reference books, journals, articles and related data. The data
collection technique in this study is documentation. Data analysis uses Content
Analysis with deductive-inductive analysis methods and is described
descriptively. .
This research shows that the author of Kitāb Al-Akhlāk Lil al-Banīn is one
of the faqih scholars of science named Umar bin Ahmad Baraja. The systematic
writing of Kitāb Al-Akhlāk Lil al-Banīn has met 3 of the 4 standards of textbook
writing according to BNSP and met 7 of the 13 indicators of textbook writing
according to Minister of Education and Culture RI No. 8 of 2016. Kitāb Al-
Akhlāk Lil al-Banīn has weaknesses and advantages. The advantages of Kitāb Al-
Akhlāk Lil al-Banīn are that the material content in the book is very relevant to be
applied in everyday life. The weaknesses include not being equipped with KI/KD,
formative tests, bibliography and there are hadiths of ḏa'īf used as references.
