Abstract

Worship must be based on sincere intentions because of Allah SWT. Some of the motivations for giving alms are purely because of Allah and there are also other motivations. In the motivation to give alms there are two levels, namely, driven by rewards or rewards promised by Allah SWT or driven by a sense of obligation that has been set for Muslims. The intention of giving alms is solely to get a reward from Allah SWT. Not for worldly interests, just to get praise or a reply from someone who has been helped. This research activity aims to find out how the motivation for almsgiving is in the perspective of Islamic education according to the interpretation of the Qur'an.
This research is a type of library research and is qualitative in nature. By analyzing the book of interpretation of the Koran, namely the translation of the book of interpretation of al-Munir Fi al-Aqidah wa al-Syari'ah wa al-Manhaj Author DR. Wahbah al-Zuhaily, translator: Abdul Hayyie al-Kattani, interpretation of Ibn Katsir translator: M. Abdul Ghoffar E.M, Tafsirl al-Mishbahl Message, Impression and Harmony of the Koran author M. Quraishl Shihab. The data analysis method used is content analysis which is a systematic technique for analyzing message content and processing messages in the interpretation of Q.S al-Baqarah: 271, Q.S al-Baqarah: 276, Q.S al-Hadid: 18, Q.S al-Munafiqun: 10 and Q.S Ali Imran: 170. In this study a deductive analysis technique will be used, namely thinking based on general facts and then drawing a specific conclusion.
Giving charity that is thayyib (good) and income that is lawful in the way of Allah SWT is included in good worship. Just as worship can be done with limbs, worship can also be done with wealth. jihad in the way of Allah with wealth takes precedence over jihad with the soul. Charity means spending a portion of wealth and giving it to those who are entitled to receive it expecting the pleasure and reward of Allah SWT. Worldly motivation refers to worldly drives or worldly needs. Doing pious deeds only hoping for worldly benefits, will really lose a lot as this is all because they used to do good deeds in the world without being sincere to hope for the pleasure of Allah so that when in the hereafter, their deeds will be in vain. So that they are called servants of dinars, dirhams and so on. Hereafter motivation is related to encouragement for the afterlife and worldly needs, such as pious and pious children, safe world and the hereafter. For anyone who purifies his deeds just to expect a face and be sincere to Him, surely the world will come to him without having to look around. Benefits for someone who is solely pleased with Allah SWT: 1. Calms the heart, 2. Alms as an eraser of sins, 3. Rewards are multiplied, 4. Life is more blessed, 5. Alms can reject reinforcements, 6. It makes it easy to find halal sustenance, 7 .The treasure that is donated will be eternal in the sight of Allah
