This study aims to determine the effect of financial performance consisting of the variables current ratio, return on assets, debt to equity ratio, and sales growth on the dividend payout ratio in the food and beverage industry listed on the IDX in 2016-2020. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The sampling technique used a purposive sampling method with a total sample of 40 companies' financial data. Samples were processed using SPSS 20 with descriptive analysis, normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, autocorrelation test, f test, coefficient of determination, and t test. The results of the study with the t test show that the current ratio has no significant positive effect on the dividend payout ratio, return on assets has no effect on the dividend payout ratio, the debt to equity ratio has a significant positive effect on the dividend payout ratio, sales growth has a significant negative effect on the dividend payout ratio.
