Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) are a potential vegetable in Indonesia. One important factor in shallot cultivation is fertilization. One effort to overcome dependence on the excessive use of inorganic fertilizers is by using mycorrhizal biofertilizers. This study aims to determine the effect of mycorrhizal fertilizers and reducing the dose of NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of shallot plants. The research design used was a randomized block design consisting of two factors consisting of three levels of each, namely the dose of NPK fertilizer; P1 (100% NPK fertilizer recommended dose); P2 (NPK fertilizer 75% recommended dose); P3 (NPK fertilizer 50% recommended dose) and mycorrhizal fertilizer dose, M0 (mycorrhizal 0 g/tan); M1 (mycorrhiza 10 g/tan); M2 (mycorrhiza 20 g/tan). Each treatment consisted of three replications consisting of five samples. The variables observed were the number of leaves, total leaf length, fresh plant weight, dry plant weight, total root length, number of tubers, tuber diameter, fresh tuber weight, and dry tuber weight. The results showed that the application of 20 grams/plant of mycorrhizal fertilizer and a reduction in the dose of 50% NPK fertilizer only had a significant effect on the number of leaves and the total length of the leaves.
