Agricultural sector is a very important economy sector in most developing countries. The most fundamental problem of farming activities is the problem of limited capital owned by farmers. To overcome the problem of capital sources, the government has established a Rural Agribusiness Development Program (RADP) in every region of Indonesia, this aims to accelarate the growth and development of agribusiness sector to reduce poverty in rural areas that can increase rural income.
This study aimed to 1) Determine farmers' characteristics of Lestari Gapoktan members as the recipient of funds for Rural Agribusiness Development Program (RADP) in Bulakpacing Village, 2) Know the implementation of Rural Agribusiness Development Program (RADP) in Bulakpacing Village, 3) Know the farmers' attitude towards RADP program in Bulakpacing Village, 4) Know the effects of RADP funding on increasing rice farming income. The method of this research used survey method. The data was collected through interview, observation, documentation. Qualitative analysis was used to determine the characteristics of farmers, the attitude of farmers towards RAD program and to know the implementation of the RAD program in Bulakpacing Village, while the quantitative analysis was used to determine the effects of RAD funding on increasing rice farming income in Bulakpacing Village.
The Characteristics of farmers who received funds from RAD program showed the productive age of 39-60 years, the majority of elementary school level having 1-3 families. To implement Gapoktan RAD program to create a Joint Business Plan (RUB/Rencana Usaha Bersama) which contained the profile of Gapoktan, business plans and Gapoktan accounts, then distributed to the farmers who were Lestari Gapoktan members. The attitude of the respondent farmers towards PUAP program was assessed with a score of 13.93 which was included in the neutral attitude criteria. The results of hypotheses test showed that there were differences on rice farming income before and after RAD program in Bulakpacing Village.
