Abstract

Crimes that fall into the category of organized crime, spesifically corruption, are very common, especially in Indonesia. This act has a very bad impact on the country because of the material losses caused. In the case of a criminal act of corruption, one must have a high economic and political position, and of course requires a strong and courageous witness. With the presence of a Justice Collaborator who is a witness, these people participate and carry out the act, so the role of the Justice Collaborator as a witness helps because the information provided is competent and accurate, so it is very helpful in cases of corruption. This study aims to determine whether a Justice Collaborator can get legal protection in the form of criminal leniency, because seeing from what they do in collaboration with law enforcement, by providing information. And how to enforce the right law to protect a Justice Collaborator. The method used in this research is normative juridical using library research techniques and using primary and secondary legal materials. The results of this study indicate that the Justice Collaborator gets criminal leniency, additional remission and other rights. Justice Collaborator's law enforcement is the same as other criminals, but Justice Collaborator can get his input or his decision can be in court mitigating matters, it's just that the final decision remains with the panel of judges.
