Abstract
Background: Because the impact of accidents and occupational diseases can hurt
not only employees but also the company directly or indirectly, occupational health
is the most important factor that every worker must consider. Working in nonergonomic
conditions can lead to health issues such as musculoskeletal pain,
including neck pain, back pain, and other musculoskeletal pain. In most cases,
musculoskeletal issues stem from poor work habits. If a worker's work posture is
wrong and occurs consistently over a lengthy period of time, it can lead to
musculoskeletal problems. A working attitude or posture that leads body
components to shift away from each other is known as unnatural work posture.
Objective: To determine the relationship between length of sitting, length of work
and exercise on musculoskeletal pain in Purbalingga Regency.
Methods: This was a quantitative descriptive with a cross-sectional method. By
using the Total Sampling technique, the number of samples selected was 30
respondents. The research instrument used a questionnaire and the data were then
analyzed using Pearson's correlation test.
Results: There is a significant correlation between duration of sitting with a p-value
of 0.040 0.05, working period with a p-value of 0.000 0.05, and exercise with a pvalue
of 0.013 0.05 so that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.
Conclusion: There is a correlation between sitting duration, working period, and
exercise on musculoskeletal pain in wig workers.
