Abstract
This study aimed to describe the mathematical representation ability of eighth-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Banyumas viewed from learning styles. This was descriptive qualitative research. The research subject was grade VIII H students who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. They were then grouped into three groups of learning styles, namely visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles, then 3 students were taken in each learning style group. Based on the results of the study, it indicated that (1) Students with visual learning styles can provide solutions in solving problems and answers with their own abilities by coherently writing down the steps for solving mathematical problems. (2) Students with auditory learning styles are able to provide solutions in solving problems and coherently present information in graphical form. (3) Students with a kinesthetic learning style can provide solutions in solving problems and answers with their own abilities by coherently writing down the steps for solving mathematical problems.
