This study was aimed to determine the sharecroppers' socio-economic conditions and their influence toward motivation on children's education level in Plompong Village, Sirampog Subdistrict, Brebes Regency.
This study used a survey research method. The research method was used to make generalizations from an observation. The data were collected using questionnaires distributed to a population of 32 sharecroppers in Plompong Village. The sample used was a total sampling technique that involving all sharecroppers. Data tabulation was used to process the data. Data analysis was presented in a descriptive-qualitative using frequency and percentage tables, bar charts, and scores.
The socio-economic conditions of sharecroppers in Plompong Village were mostly classified as low at 53.12%, those classified as moderate at 46.88%, and there were no farmers with high socio-economic conditions criteria. The motivation of sharecroppers to send their children to school was mostly low at 56.25%, moderate at 43.75%, and there were no sharecroppers with high motivation criteria. The education level of sharecroppers children in Plompong Village was mostly at a low level at 81.25% which means they did not go to school or did not finish elementary school. While the moderate level was at 18.75%, and none of the children with a high level of education. There is an influence between the sharecroppers' socio-economic conditions towards motivation on children's education level in Plompong Village, Sirampog District, Brebes Regency.
