The purpose of the study, Forms and Meanings of Hate Speech in the Comment Column of Pinterpolitik Instagram Account in November 2020, was to describe the form and meaning of hate speech in the comment column of Pinterpolitik Instagram account. This is qualitative descriptive research. The comments of netizens on the Pinterpolitik Instagram account that contain aspects of hatred are the source of data in this study. Reading and note-taking strategies were used to collect data in this study. In this study, the equivalent approach was employed for data analysis. Informal methods are used to present the findings of the analysis. According to this study, hate speech is defined as 1) insults, 2) defamation, 3) blasphemy, 4) unpleasant behaviors, 5) agitating, 6) inciting, and 7) propagating false news. The meaning of hate speech was also discovered in this study, which included 1) denotative meaning, 2) connotative meaning, 3) contextual meaning, and 4) metaphorical meaning. Denotative and negative connotative meanings are the most common types of meanings discovered.
