Abstract

The development of tourism programs in Indonesia has received more attention under the Wonderful Indonesia program, including tourism in Belik Sub-district. This study aimed to determine the level of tourism potential and top destinations in Belik Sub-District. This study was a survey conducted to obtain data on tourism potential and top destinations. There were 5 components of tourism considered in the survey. They included the quality of tourism objects, condition of tourism objects, object development support, accessibility, and object supporting facilities. The population covered 6 tourist attractions. The total sampling technique was used to select the 6 tourist objects as the samples. Then, a checklist sheet was used for the data collecting technique based on the 2016 Tourism Development Master Plan (RIPPDA) of Pemalang Regency with modifications. The data processing utilized scoring and analysis of LQ (Location Quotient). Afterward, the analysis of tourism potential data was categorized into 3 classes, namely low, medium, and high as well as top destination and non-seeded tourism. The result showed that based on the analysis of the 6 tourism objects there were 2 levels of tourism potential, namely low potential and medium potential. The level of tourism potential is medium where some of which were nature tourism. The destinations with medium tourism potential levels included 4 tourist objects, namely Mendelem Hill (Taman Rancah), Batur Candi, Bengkawah Waterfall, and Jambe Twin Baths. The other 2 tourist objects with low potential level were Silating Lake and Barong Curug. The top destinations in Belik sub-district became supported object development, including 4 of 6 destinations in Belik sub-district
