This research deals with the developing English module for tenth grade students of machine
engineering in the second semester of SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Ajibarang. The research
belongs to Research and Development (R & D). The subjects for this study were 32 tenth
grade students from the machine engineering department. This step in the study consists of
exploration, designing the module, and evaluating the module. The instruments used to
collect data about the students' English learning needs were a questionnaire and interview
guidelines. The result of this study is the English module, which consists of three units. The
title of the first unit is "Collation Text," and it contains six activities. In this unit, students
read about comparative degrees, listen to the dialogue, and practise both reading and
speaking the dialogue in pairs. Then the title of the second unit is "Environmental Issues." It
consists of five stages, in which each activity focuses on developing reading and listening
skills. The third unit of this module was entitled "We did." This unit explores texts about
student experiences. Thus, the language feature of the unit focuses on the past tense. There
were three expert-judgments for this module. According to expert-judgments, each aspect of
the module was good and it’s already been implemented for the students. It is demonstrated
by the content expert's score of 4.3 for all units, both units 1, 2 and 3. The results of the
calculation of the language usage rating for this module are obtained at 4.3. On the display
assessment, obtained 4.1, the same as the results on the layout expert, which is also 4.1
