CNCB (Consumer News and Business Channel) noted the problem of online bad loans in Indonesia based on the website stating that fintech loans amounted to Rp. 7.05 trillion while non-performing loans reached Rp. 44.8 billion. With the interest given to loan recipients who pass the payment period which is quite stifling with very short maturities, most debtors are in debt to other online loans with the aim of digging a hole to cover the hole. The purpose of this study is to find out how the regulation of online loan services in Indonesia and how the mechanism for settlement of default in online loan applications is based on POJK Number 77/POJK.01/2016 concerning Information Technology-based loan lending services in the Purwokerto area. The method used in this research is sociological juridical. The regulation on online lending services in Indonesia is the Financial Services Authority Regulation Number 77/POJK.01/2016 concerning Technology-Based Borrowing-Lending Services, Settlement of default problems in online lending outside this legal mechanism as regulated in Article 39 (1) of the Service Authority Regulation Finance Number 77/POJK.01/2016 concerning Technology-Based Borrowing-Lending Services.
