This study aims to 1) find out the profile of craftsmen of bamboo weaving cething (traditional rice container), 2) find out the costs and net income of the business of bamboo weaving cething, and 3) find out the contribution of the bamboo weaving cething handicraft business to the craftsmen's family income. The method used is a survey method conducted in Glontor Village, Karanggayam Sub District, Kebumen Regency. Sampling technique used Slovin formula with an error rate of 10%. Qualitative descriptive analysis was used to explain the profile of the bamboo weaving craftsmen. Costs, net income, and contributions were analyzed using quantitative analysis.
The results showed that the characteristics of the bamboo weaving craftsman respondents were 54 years old on average, mostly graduated from elementary school, and have been in their cething of bamboo weaving business for 36 years in average. The average amount of income per year is Rp. 5,584,000, the average annual products are 558 cethings, the average net income per year is Rp. 3,299,471.32 with an average total cost per year of Rp. 2,284,528.68. The contribution of the cething handicraft business to the income of the craftsmen families in Glontor Village, Karanggayam Sub District, Kebumen Regency is 27.42%. Since the contribution is less than 33.3%, it means that the contribution of this business is still low on the income of the craftsman families in Glontor Village, Karanggayam Sub District, Kebumen Regency.
