Abstract

In the development of an increasingly sophisticated era, it makes it easy for people to access everything they want to know. But on the other hand there is a great impact targeting our young generation. Where the moral and behavior off the current millennial generation are very far from what they should be. The moral and moral crisis of this generation is that they are free creaturs who do everything without caring about the consequences that will be borne in the future. The purpose of this study was to determine the character formation for students in cottage Fastabiqul Khairat.
This research is a type of field research with data collection techiques namely interview, observation, and documentation. The subject of this study were students of Ma’had Fastabiqul Khairat. Data anaylsiis uses primary data from interview, where the collected data wil be analyzed qualitatively using descriptive methods, namely describing a picture of the data obtained and connecting with each other to obtain general conclusion.
The result of this study indicate that the formation of student character at Ma’had Fastabiqul Khairat is carried out by means of praying fardhu together, praying tahajjud in congregation, attending studies every night, fasting Monday and trusday , doing morning and evening dzikir together and learning tahsin and tahfidz al-qur’an. In addition students are required to do picket and get the task of being the head of the class in turn as a form of responsibility towards themselves and their surroundings. The method applied in the formation of student character is the exemplary method, the habituation method, the motivation method, the story method and the ibrah method.
