Abstract

This study aims to describe the Sudagaran Village, the history of the Museum Wayang Banyumas and its collections, and the developments that occurred at the Museum Wayang Banyumas on traditional values. Based on the research objectives, the research was conducted using the historical method, namely by analyzing the events that have occurred in the past. The stages in this research are: The stage of finding and collecting data or heuristics. The stage of ascertaining and compiling data or interpretation. Stage Writing history or historiography. This research shows that Sudagaran Village where the Museum Wayang Banyumas is located is in the center of the old government of Banyumas district. The Banyumas Puppet Museum stores a collection of Wayang and Non Puppets. Wayang Kulit Gagrag Banyumasan is an original wayang typical of Banyumas which has become a tradition in the Banyumas region. The puppet character Bagor symbolizes the people of Banyumas who are outspoken, spontaneous, open, honest, sporty and responsible.
