Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of video dubbing technique in teaching speaking comprehension. This study used a Quasi-Experimental Design, which involves two classes, experimental group and control group. A total of 44 students were participated in the research, which was conducted over the course of three meetings. 24 students were in experiment class and 20 students were in control class. The students in experimental class were given treatment using Video Dubbing Technique. Moreover, pre-test and post-test were given to the experiment and control class. The data was analyzed statistically using t-test. The result showed that Video Dubbing Technique is effective in teaching speaking comprehension. It can be seen from the result of t-test where the t-value was 3.66 and the t-table was 1.682, proving that the t-test was higher than the t-table (3.66 > 1.682)
