Abstract
This research aims to (1) analyze the history of the jamasan tradition in Kalisalak village, Kebasen sub-district, Banyumas district, (2) analyze the development and implementation process of jamasan in Kalisalak village, (3) analyze the impact of the implementation of jamasan in Kalisalak village on the surrounding community in terms of economy and culture. This study contains the formulation of the problem (1) explain the history of the jamasan tradition in Kalisalak village (2) describe the development and implementation of the jamasan talisman tradition in Kalisalak village in 2011-2021 (3) find out the effect of the implementation of the jamasan talisman tradition for the surrounding community in terms of economy and culture. To accomplish the objectives of the researcher, the historical method includes five steps: (1) heuristics (data collection using the interview method), (2) verification (criticism by seeking the verification of sources), (3) interpretation (interpretation or disclosure of facts), (4) interpretation (writing. or presentation in the form of reports), and (5) historiography. According to the researcher's investigation findings, the amulet jamming ceremony in the village of Kalisalak is performed once a year in the month of Mulud. The Sunan Amangkurat I relics tangled up belong to Grandmother Surawisesa, the first person entrusted as a caretaker. Only male descendants may be chosen as caretakers under the hereditary system, while women are tasked with assisting in the implementation of monitoring. Since Covid-19 was conducted behind closed doors with only the amulet owner's relatives present, theimplementation of penjamasan ceremony has changed. The implementation of the penjamasan ceremony passed down from ancestors from generation to generation and attempts to protect, preserve, and care for treasures that are said to have masters is still practiced today. The prediction of the objects that are covered in the future state of the Republic of Indonesia is an intriguing aspect of the jamming of amulets in the village of Kalisalak. Additionally, there is the reading of palm leaves and Arabic script, which is uncertain each year due to the damaged state of the palm leaves and manuscripts.
