Information systems are a very important asset for most companies in order to survive in the midst of the current intense business competition and become a supporting factor for the success of the company's management in supporting the business processes it carries out in making decisions, controlling operations, analyzing problems, and creating new products or services. One of the applications of the information system at UMP is the implementation of the New Student Admission Information System (PMB) online since 2020 and began to be used in 2021. The governance standard used is Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (COBIT) 5. The COBIT 5 domain chosen is the MEA01 (Monitor, Evaluate and Assess Performance and Conformance) domain will focus on collecting, validating, and evaluating business, IT and process objectives and metrics as well as providing recommendations for improvement.The result is that the Capability Level obtained as a whole in the UMP PMB information system is Level 1, namely the Performed Process, and the target level to be achieved is 5, namely the Optimizing Process, so based on the analysis, broadly speaking, there is a need for recommendations, namely maximizing what is already running well and innovating in activities to accelerate the achievement of goals.
