Abstract

This study aimed to determine the number of conversions and supports of settlement land in the Kembaran Sub-district, banyumas regency. This qualitative descriptive study used survey methods conducted by observation and parameter measurement. The population was the use of agricultural land and non-agricultural land. The sampling was from a total sampling of 16 villages. Remote sensing analysis with image interpretation using ArcGIS 10.6 software was implemented to review three-time series; 2010, 2015, and 2020. Meanwhile, the analysis of the carrying capacity of residential land utilized the concept of building coverage. The result revealed that there was a change in land use in Kembaran Sub-district. The most dominant land conversion in 2010 – 2015 was rice fields of 70.294 hectares, 2015 – 2020 was settlements of 50.166 hectares, and 2010 – 2020 was settlements of 119.036 hectares. The support for residential land in the Kembaran Sub-district was 31.21%, or high. The villages with the highest percentage of residential land support were Ledug at 49.56% and Dukuhwaluh village at 48.80%, while the highest percentage was in sambeng kulon village at 17.47%. the three villages; ledug village dukuhwaluh village, and sambeng kulon village were included in the subzone urban fringe.
