Land suitability is defined as the comparison between the demands made by the types of land uses that will be put to use and the qualities or characteristics of the land possessed by the land that will be used. This research aimed to study the land suitability of corn plants in the watershed of Kali Arus, Gumelar sub-district. Land suitability is affected by the physical characteristics of the land, topography, and height. This research used a survey as the method with 14 landforms as the population. The primary data of this research included soil depth, surface rock, drainage, and rock outcrop, while the secondary data included landform unit map, soil texture, permeability, soil type map, rainfall map, slope map, and land use map. The sampling technique used was area sampling by taking samples from each area included in the population. The data were analyzed using the matching technique by matching the data of land characteristics and the resulted data, field observation, and secondary data, with growing conditions of corn plants. The results showed that the lands around the watershed of Kali Arus were suitable for corn plants. The class of land suitability was dominated by the S2 class (quite suitable) with 978.11 ha wide or 48.19%, followed by the S3 class (marginal suitable) with 623.17 ha wide or30.70%, N1 (temporarily unsuitable) with357.75 hawideor17.62%, andN2 (permanently unsuitable) with70.75 hawideor3.49%.
