Abstract
Crossroads are one of the most important parts of road problems, intersections are also one of the factors in determining the capacity and time in a road network. The intersection analyzed in this study is a five-armed intersection. From observations at the five cimanuk intersection, it can be seen that the capacity at the intersection is not adequate. The study was conducted with a site survey and analyzed using MKJI 1997. Based on the calculation data before the change in the Western arm, the degree of saturation of DSB = 1.02 > 0.75, service level (F), northern arm DSU = 0.88 > 0.75, service level (E), east arm DST = 0.82 < 0.75, service level (D), South arm DS S = 0.95 > 0.75, service level (E), and DSBL arm = 0.08 < 0.75, service level (A), and DS total saturation degree = 0.83 > 0.75 service level (D) . So as to make some handling in the form of scenarios I, and II. From the two scenarios carried out, scenario II was selected, namely by changing the traffic light time and widening each arm so that the saturation degree value was obtained on the Western arm, the degree of saturation DSB = 0.74 < 0.75, service level (C), north arm DSU = 0.72 < 0.75, service level (C), east arm DST = 0.74 < 0.75, service level (C), South arm DSS = 0.72 < 0.75, service level (C), and DSBL arm = 0.11 < 0.75, service level (A), and DS total saturation degree = 0.68 < 0.75 service level (C)
