Abstract

Worship is one of the joints of Islamic teachings that must always be upheld. A person's faith can be seen from his obedience to carry out the commands and prohibitions of Allah SWT. With prayer the heart becomes calm. However, in the midst of the rapid development of the times, the people of the village of Tanalum were able to control and supervise the worship carried out by their children. The low level of parental education is a major factor in the lack of parental attention to children's education. The purpose of this study was to determine the prayer education method used by parents for children in Tanalum Village, Rembang District, Purbalingga Regency.
This research is a type of field research or field research with interview, observation, and documentation data collection techniques. Data analysis uses primary data from interviews, where the collected data will be analyzed qualitatively using descriptive methods, namely describing the description of the data obtained and relating them to each other to obtain a general conclusion.
This study shows that the prayer education method for children is in accordance with the theory proposed by Abdullah Nashih Ulwan and Abdur Rahman En Nahlawi. The most widely used method in educating children to pray is the method of inviting, exemplary, punishment and reward, supervision. And one new method found in the interview that is not between the two theories used by the author in this study. The method is the jarkoni method, this method is an old method that is still applied in the process of educating children in the village of Tanalum as a form of efforts to improve the religious spirit of children. In short, the jarkoni method is ngajar karo nglakoni which means teaching and carrying out or carrying out what has been taught to children.
