Abstract

This study aims to determine the characteristics of rice farmers who belong to P4S Artha Tani in Susukan District, to determine the effect of socioeconomic factors on rice production in Susukan District, and to discover the income of rice farmers who belong to P4S Artha Tani in Susukan District. A case study research methodology is employed in this study. Primary and secondary data types are used as the data in this study. Simple random sampling with a lottery technique without replacement is used to collect data. There were 45 respondents in total. Descriptive quantitative analysis, multiple linear regression analysis, and the income formula are used to analyze the data. According to the findings of the study, the majority of P4S Artha Tani rice farmers were between the ages of 49 and 56, had an education equivalent to completing elementary school, owned land larger than 0.37 ha, had two to three family members who were dependent on them, had been engaged in rice farming for two to eight years, and produced less than 3000 kg yearly. The results of the t-test showed that age, length of farming, capital, land area, labor, and fertilizer had a significant effect on rice production in Susukan Sub-District. With an average land area of 0.39 ha, rice farmers who are P4S Artha Tani members can earn IDR. 11,111,474 on average during the harvest season in December 2021.
