Research on the implementation of the literacy movement program at SD Negeri
Kaliurip aimed to examine the implementation of existing programs in the
implementation of the literacy movement. The type of this research was
descriptive qualitative. Participants in this study were the principal, grade III
teacher, grade IV teacher, librarian, 1 student of grade III, and 1 student of grade
IV. Data in this research were collected using observation, interviews, and
documentation. Data analysis in this study applied source triangulation and
technical triangulation. The results of this research showed that the literacy
movement program was carried out in the form of reading a book one month-one
book, DICATRA, little librarian, bulletin board, 15 minutes reading movement,
and mandatory library visits. The implementation of the literacy movement
program was supported by the help of books from parents, the presence of
competent librarians, and the implementation of various literacy programs.
However, there were still some obstacles faced by the school in implementing the
literacy movement, such as the lack of time of mandatory library visits and the
unstable emotional level of students.
