Abstract
Along with population growth, the need for housing as a basic human need
also increases. This can be anticipated with technological advances, through the
process of making a decision support system (DSS) for house selection. This
system consists of 5 criteria of importance including price, location, land area, type
of house and facilities. As an alternative, the author takes 18 housings in the city of
Purbalingga for comparison, where the results will be obtained by ranking the best
housing. To determine the best housing, the author uses the AHP method which is
used to calculate the weight of each criterion and the SAW method is used to
generate rankings. The results of the study are in the form of an application to assist
home buyers in determining the ideal house suggested by the system.
