Savings as a product element in Islamic banking is an alternative for the public to place their funds using investment activities, both shorth term and long term. This study aims to examine the practice of saving with prizes at Ib Hijrah Prima Bank Muamalat Purwokerto based on the fatwa of the National sharia Council.
This type of research is field research with qualitative approach. The object of this research is Bank Muamalat Purwokerto, while the data collection technique is done by interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis in this study was carried out by examining all available data from various sources, namely from interviews, observations that have been written in field notes, secondary data sources, official documents, photographic images, and so on. The next step is to carry out data reduction. The steps taken are to sharpen the analysis, classify or categorize each problem through a brief description, and organize the data so that final cnclusions can be drawn and verified.
The results of this study indicate that in the savings program with prizes there are several conditions to get the first prize, the costumer comes to customer service. Second, fill out the form and submit your ID card. For funds according to the desired prize. Then to get the prize, there are 2 options, namely if the customer chooses a gift in the table, the prize is sent through the head office directly to the costumer‟s house. Customer response regarding savings with prizes is very good because savings with the prizes are the flagship product of Bank Muamalat. The practice of the savings program with prizes at iB Hijrah Prima from the perspective of DSN MUI Fatwa Number 86/DSN-MUI/XII/2012 shows that the form of gifts given by banks to customers must be in the form of goods, not money.
