Abstract
It is very common to see severe traffic jam on the intersection of Jl Gatot Subroto and Jl Kesatrian in Purwokerto during rush hour because there are some shopping centers and some schools in this junction area. This study aims to determine the degree of saturation and delay at the study site. This research was conducted by re-analyzing the data that has been carefully examined and by looking for alternative solutions to problems through roundabout. MKJI 1997 was used to analyze the data. The results of the analysis in 2020 showed the degree of saturation in all intersection was 1.18 0.75 ( saturated). The intersection on Jl. Gatot Subroto Jl. Kesatrian can be modified by technical change of the intersection became a 2-phase signal intersection at the roundaboat. The degree of saturation was gained at 0.69 0.75 ( unsaturated). In 2025, the cycle time change to 80 seconds. The green time for the north road changes to 40 seconds, the west road to 40 seconds, and the east road to 60 seconds. The degree of saturation in 2025 turns to 0.60 0.75 ( not saturated).
