The purpose of this research is to describe the ability of creative thinking of mathematic student in terms of Adversity Quotient (AQ) in SMP Negeri 1 Kalimanah. This research used qualitative descriptive research method. The subject of this research is the grade VIII D students of SMP Negeri 1 Kalimanah whom selected with Purposive Sampling Technique. The data collection technique of this research are questionnaries, tests, interviews. The researcher used the Adversity Quotient (AQ) scale to categorize the level AQ of student and selected three samples from each AQ category of students. The data analys technique which used are data reduction, data display, and verification. Based on the result of this research showed that the student with high AQ have flexibility, originality, and elaboration in mathematical creative thinking. The student with medium AQ is only have original thinking ability in mathematical creative thinking. Meanwhile, the student with low AQ is not yet able to think mathematically creative.
