Abstract
Highway Larangan, which is +_ 2,4 km long and 6.5 m wide, is a connecting road
between Purwokerto and Purbalingga city, the Larangan road is a two-lane two way
road without a median (2/2 UD) with current road conditions. There is heavy
traffic in the morning and there are several side obstacles, including parking
vehicles, vehicles in and out of Jalan Raya Larangan and street vendors which can
cause road capacity to decrease, in this case the width of the lane plays an
important role in serving traffic flow. quite large which is dominated by private
vehicles and public transportation. To find out how effective the lane width is
with the existing traftic capacity, it is necessary to analyze the effectiveness of the
lane width on traffic capacity in 2020-2030. The method used is the method of
collecting data to related agencies to determine the volume of traffic flow, traffic
capacity, and degree of saturation by referring to the Indonesian Road Capacity
Manual (MKJI) 1997. From the results of research with a track width of 6.5
meters in 2020, it was found that Traffic Flow (Q) was 854 pcu / hour. Capacity
(C) 2069 pcu / hour with a Degree of Saturation (DS) of 0.41 while for the
analysis of the next 10 years, namely in 2030, there is a traffic flow (Q) 1679,
Capacity (C) 2131, with a degree of saturation of 0.79 with a lane width of 6.5
meters. With these results, the effective lane width on highway Larangan for 2020
to 2030 is 6.5 meters.
