Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the added value of the processing of emping melinjo manis, a type of indonesian sweet chips made of melinjo or belinjo (Gnetum gnemon) in Plumbon Village, Limpung Subdistrict and to find out whether the business was profitable and financially feasible. The method used in this research was quantitative descriptive. The data were collected by observation, interview, and documentation. The analysis used in this research was value added analysis, cost analysis, income and financial feasibility. Furthermore, there were five criteria used in this study to find out the financial feasibility namely NPV, IRR, Net B / C, Gross B / C and PBP.
The results showed that the processing of emping melinjo manis business in Plumbon Village, Limpung Subdistrict, Batang Regency produced an added value of Rp. 5,653 with a value-added ratio of 19.6%. Moreover, the financial feasibility of the processed emping melinjo manis business in Plumbon Village was feasible to develop which can be seen from the 5 eligibility criteria: a) NPV with a value of Rp. 280,811,332 (>0), b) IRR with a value of 86% (>7%), c) Net B / C with a value of 3,18 (>1), d) Gross B / C with a value of 1,042 (>1), and PBP with a value of 3.5.
