Abstract
Gotu kola is one of the popular medicinal plants that are widely used traditionally and as one of the raw materials of the traditional medicine and cosmetic industries. Raw materials from gotu kola have the potential for counterfeiting or wrong in the use of plant types. The potential for counterfeiting and misuse of medicinal plants can occur as a result of the similarity of the name of the region or the equation of the color of the powder. Therefore, it is necessary to authenticate the herb of gotu kola using FTIR spectroscopy and Kemometrics. Methods: pegagan herbs and alchemy herbs: mountain and watter clovers. The formulation is based on the formulation of a mixture of pegagan and clover and a concentration of 25% : 75%, 50% : 50% and 75% : 25%. Analyzed by using a ftir spectroscope money is combined with a pca analysis using minitab 16 software. Results: analysis of plot score using pca shows at pegagan standards, mountain clover and meniran have a different quadrant which means that the sample had different characteristics of the chemical properties of physics. Then in each formulation produced each adjacent sample has an identical characteristic while the divided has a characteristic difference. Conclusion: using the ftir spectroscope combination with pca analysis can be used to analyze the pegagan, mountain clover, and Indian authentication herbs.
