Abstract

Rainfall patterns greatly affect agricultural activities and agricultural productivity, therefore rainfall often becomes a limiting factor in agricultural activities and production. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of rainfall patterns on the productivity of rice plants in Sub-district Bukateja, Purbalingga Regency. The method used is the survey method. In a population of 3,516 rice farmers, the sample was taken using a proportional random sampling technique based on the number of farmer group members in each village, and then the farmer group sampling (5%) was 176 farmers. Data collection methods use primary data in the form of land area, total rice production, farmer identity data, and secondary data in the form of rice productivity data, 2009 2018 rainfall data, and sub-district monograph data. Data processing methods use tabulation techniques in the form of ways to process rainfall data, production, productivity, presentation of data in the form of text, tables, and graphics. Data analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the rainfall pattern in Sub-district Bukateja had no effect on rice productivity. The increase in rainfall intensity in Sub-district Bukateja was not always followed by an increase in rice productivity from 2009 to 2018.
