Abstract

This study discusses the analysis of school students' behavior in dealing with the Coronavirus disease-19 outbreak. The background of the research is the importance of student behavior in dealing with Covid-19. As the number of positive cases continues to grow, it is necessary to take steps to prevent Covid-19. The purpose of this study was to analyze the behavior of primary school students in facing the outbreak and to analyze the factors that influence the behavior of students facing the Covid-19 in Purwosari village. Researchers used descriptive study and qualitative analysis to answer these purposes. Observation, interviews, and documentation were the instruments used to collect data. The research subjects are fifth-grade students and their parents. Researchers use Miles and Huberman's theory in analyzing data (data collection, data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions). Triangulation was used to determine the validity of the data. The results of the study at the beginning of the pandemic the majority of students took steps to prevent Covid-19 such as 1) washing hands, 2) wearing masks, 3) keeping a distance, 4) staying away from crowds, 5) reducing mobility. Meanwhile, currently, the majority of students are no longer taking Covid-19 prevention measures such as 1) not washing their hands, 2) not wearing masks, 3) not keeping their distance, 4) not staying away from crowds, 5) not reducing mobility. An internal factor that influences student behavior at the beginning of the pandemic is fear and external factors, namely 1) family environment, 2) school environment, 3) media. Meanwhile, currently, internal factors that influence student behavior are 1) boredom, 2) laziness, external factors that influence behavior are 1) family environment, 2) community environment
