This study aims to determine how students' confidence in the results of
reading anxiety in class. This study uses a survey method with 2 (two) instruments
to collect data from research subjects, namely questionnaires and interviews.
Respondents who became respondents were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 1
Jatilawang as many as 283 students and who were asked to fill out a
questionnaire as many as 148 students. Furthermore, 14 out of 283 students were
selected to be interviewed. The results obtained in this study indicate that almost
all respondents have doubts about the results of reading anxiety in class. Even
with the advantages of reading English books that are effective and efficient so
that students don't have to worry about reading in class, sometimes students are
not confident, especially in terms of meaning and language structure.
