Background: Ibuprofen is an NSAID that is included in BCS class 2 (high membrane permeability and low solubility). Therefore it is need to enchanment the dissolution rate by increasing the solubility through solid dispersion. From the results of solid dispersion it is formulated into tablet dosage forms and a comparison dissolution test with trademerk tablet to ensure the quality and properties of medicinal products with minor changes in the formulation. Method: Literature study in the form of primary data sources using an online search system through various international and national journals. Primary data sources are obtained from electronic databases such as Elsevier Journal, Online Library, Pubmed, Google Schoolar etc. Result: Based on the results of a literature study by looking at the test parameter data, than compared with the parameter criteria and it shows that the solid dispersion results tablets and brand tablets have no differences in dissolution profiles. Conclusion: Solid disperion tablets have different dissolution profile with trademerk tablets.
