This study aims to examine the effect of investment decision, tenure, educational background, and family ownership on directors compensation. The research sample used was a sub-sector of manufacturing companies from the consumer goods industry which were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2015-2018. This research used quantitative data in the form of annual reports and data collection techniques used are purposive sampling techniques. The data analysis method in this study uses multiple regression analysis. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that tenure and educational background have a negative effect on director compensation, family ownership has a positive effect on director compensation, while investment decision have not effect on directors compensation.
