Abstract

This research was aimed to describe teachers’ perception on the effectiveness of Kurikulum 2013 in English language teaching. Quantitative using survey was used as a method of this research. Close-questionnaire and semi-structured interview was used as instrument collecting the data. The respondents of this research were 47 teachers from Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) Bahasa Inggris Sub Rayon 06 Banyumas / Subject Teacher Meeting English Language Teaching Sub Rayon 06 Banyumas. The result showed that teachers had positive perception on the effectiveness of Kurikulum 2013 in English language teaching. It based on the result of questionnaire which showed that 78.57% teachers agreed that Kurikulum 2013 is effective in English language teaching. The data also supported by the interview result in which it is stated that the majority of teachers agreed to the implementation of every indicator in Kurikulum 2013.
