Abstract

This study aims to 1) find out the cost and income of tempeh agro-industry in Debong Wetan Village, Dukuhturi Sub District, Tegal Regency. 2) find out the business feasibility of this Tempeh agro-industry. 3) find out internal and external determinants of entrepreneurship in this tempeh agro-industry. The descriptive quantitative was used in this research using the sampling technique of non-probability sampling (census). Quantitative descriptive analysis was used to explain the cost and income of tempeh agro-industry, the feasibility of tempeh agro-industry business, and internal and external determinants of entrepreneurship in the tempeh agro-industry in Debong Wetan Village. The results on the characteristics of the respondents showed that mostly tempeh makers were 47-57 years old, graduated from elementary school, living with their 4-5 family members, having been running tempeh business for 16-30 years on average. -Their initial capital average is IDR 300,001-500,000 with an average daily needs of 8-105 kg of soybeans. The tempeh agro-industry business in Debong Wetan Village, Dukuhturi District, Tegal Regency is able to produce an average production of 2,549.6 Kg with a selling price of IDR 8,138.9. Therefore, the revenue is IDR 21,096,666.7 and the total cost obtained is IDR 14,699,505.9 then profit is Rp 6,397,160.8. This research on the business feasibility also found that the business in the tempeh agro-industry in Debong Wetan Village is feasible to run. It was also found some internal and external determinants of tempeh agro-industry in Debong Wetan Village, Dukuhturi Sub District, Tegal Regency.
