The high population growth in urban areas triggers an increase in activity, one of
which is in the field of transportation, the increasing population increases the
mobility of transportation, thus the existence of facilities and infrastructure and its
quality will become a necessity. In the modern era like today many modes of
transportation are developing and popping up, one of them is the special rental
transportation, grab car. Grab cars are special rental transportation, door-to-door
transport services with drivers, have operating areas in urban areas, from and to
airports, ports, or other transportation nodes and reservations using information
technology-based applications, with the tariff rates listed in the application. Cost
is an economic sacrifice that must be spent by the owner of a special rental car for
grab transportation for his transportation service, the cost is also a measure of
service level, so an objective and accurate calculation of costs is needed so that it
can be used as a basis for decision making. This report calculates Vehicle
Operating Costs (BOK) using the cost component method according to the
calculation of vehicle operating costs part I DPU of 2005 and the interview method.
Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that the operational cost of grab car
vehicles in purwokerto area for non-sedan / utility vehicles is Rp 41,472.37 and the
value of operational costs of grab car vehicles in purwokerto area for sedan
vehicles is Rp 19,527.09 Per Km. Vehicle Operating Costs (BOK) on Grab Car
non-sedan / utility vehicles are greater than sedan vehicles.
