Abstract

Social studies learning media that are usually given to students have not been varied and have not optimally facilitated students' critical thinking skills. The learning media used in social studies learning are in the form of textbooks, worksheets, and summaries. Mobile Learning-Based Student Worksheet is an alternative for social studies learning that is fun and facilitates students' critical thinking skills. This study aims to: (1) describe the initial conditions of social studies learning media for Class V students of the Gugus Dipayuda Banjarnegara, (2) develop mobile learning-based student worksheets, (3) knowing student responses in using Student Worksheets Based on Mobile Learning Social Studies learning, (4) analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of using Mobile Learning-Based Student Worksheets in social studies learning. This research uses research and development methods. The research was conducted at the Dipayuda Elementary School, Banjarnegara. Data collection techniques with interviews, questionnaires, and tests. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman interactive data analysis technique and expert-practitioner validation test. The test instrument was tested for validity and reliability. The test results were tested for normality and homogeneity to then be tested for effectiveness. Based on the results of research in the field, it can be seen that: (1) The critical thinking ability of students is not optimal because the social studies learning media used so far are in the form of textbooks, worksheets, and summaries, (2) Mobile Learning-Based Student Worksheets are made using Google Form which packaged in Google Sites (3) Mobile Learning-Based Student Worksheets are valid, appropriate to use and effective in improving students' critical thinking skills (4) Mobile Learning-Based Student Worksheets make learning more interesting because there is a video in it, students can know firsthand the value they get after completing the competency test, but can only be accessed with internet-connected devices/devices.
