Abstract

Rice-eating bird pests are one of the enemies of farmers where they come in groups to eat rice that has just grown or is ripe. One of the ways to expel rice-eating birds is to use a rope that appears on one of the poles, or it could be a tree, then food or other kinds of sounds that can disturb the rice-eating birds. Thus, the rice-eating birds feel disturbed when they are about to leave. Solar Powered Bird Repellent is one of the traditional and modern combined ways. This tool is equipped with a PIC 16F877A microcontroller which is used as the brain of this system. This tool employs I2C DS1307 as a Timer and a memory. This tool uses a solar panel as a power source so that farmers do not have to think about the power supply. The results of this research tool can pull the rope from 100 meters to 200 meters.
