Feeling a good life in the future in children is the hope of every parent, especially in the afterlife. The best efforts are made by parents to achieve these expectations. Through the holy book of the Qur'an, Allah ta‟a>la> provides instructions so that every parent's hopes can be achieved. One of the factors mentioned by Allah ta‟a>la> in the Qur'an is the piety of the father as stated in Surah al-Kahf verse 82. This study aims to find out in depth: 1) The contents of the Qur'an in Surah al-Kahf verse 82, 2) The influence of the father's piety on the future life of the child in the Qur'an Surah al-Kahf verse 82.
This research is included in the type of document and library research in which it describes the results of document analysis and literature review. The sources of this research material are in the form of books on the interpretation of the Qur'an, research journals and other scientific documents. In collecting data in this study, it was carried out by collecting relevant data from books of interpretation of the Qur'an which were then studied in depth with the mixed research method or combining research methods in the interpretation of the Qur'an. In data analysis, the researcher combines the study method of the interpretation of the Qur'an maud{u>'i (thematic) with the interpretation of tarti>b as-suwa>r (orderly order of letters) tafsi>r bi al-ma's{u>r interpretation approach.
The results of this study indicate that the piety of the father is a factor in ensuring the future life of the child. With piety the father causes Allah ta‟a>la> to guard: 1) the treasures left by the father, 2) the child from all disturbances and evils, 3) the child himself from disobedience or major sins. The care that Allah ta‟a>la> gives is not only for biological children, but also for posterity up to seven generations. This is proof that the Qur'an is the best way of life for humans that must be studied properly and in depth.
