This study aims to describe the supply chain (trade system) of
shallots, determine the role of supply chain actors and determine the
value of the profit margin received by each supply chain actor.
The research method used is descriptive. The sampling method
used in this study is a non-probability sampling technique, namely
snowball sampling. The number of respondents in this study were 15
farmers, 5 collectors, 5 wholesalers, and 5 retailers.
The results showed that the actors in the shallot supply chain in
Wanasari District were farmers, retailers, wholesalers, and collectors.
The commercial channel is divided into four, namely zero-level, one level
channel, two-level channel and three-level channel. The role of
supply chain actors is farmers who play a role in the production
process, and selling shallots to traders. While collectors, wholesalers,
and retailers play a role in buying, storing, distributing and selling.
From the results of the analysis of marketing margins, it shows that
shallot traders are able to provide the largest profit for the collectors.
