This study has the objectives of 1) to find out the background of the TNI's
battle with the people against the dutch in Jatisari Kedungreja Village, Cilacap in
13 March 1949. 2) to discuss the course of the TNI's battle with the people against
the dutch in Jatisari Kedungreja Village, Cilacap 13 March in 1949. 3) to reveal
the consequences arising from the battle between the TNI and the people against
the dutch in the village of Jatisari, Kedungreja, Cilacap 13 March in 1949.
The research method used to examine the problems in the research is the
historical research method. The historical research method includes four stages,
heuristics which is the process of collecting sources, criticism which is a testing
process that considers the historical factors of a text, interpretation which is the
process of describing and integrating data that has been collected and gone
through a critical process, and historiography which is writing or presenting a
historical event.
After the dutch patrol forces arrived at Jatisari Village immediately held a
massive and indiscriminate attack both from the ground and from the air. Jatisari
village was bombarded, showered with grenades and cannons. With a large and
trained number of troops and very sophisticated and modern war equipment and
equipment. The atmosphere of Jatisari Village is really gripping, it takes place a
day around 09.00 - 14.00, casualties also fell, both on the TNI and the civilian
population both the dead and wounded or disabled for life. It also causes deep
psychological disorders and prolonged trauma.
