This study aims to determine the role of Asri Wibowo Farmer's Group in
increasing the corn productivity of its members, internal and external factors in
increasing the productivity, the role of the farmer's group correlated to the increase
of the corn productivity. The method used in this research was the descriptivequantitative
method. It was conducted in Cadiwulan Village, Kutasari Sub-District of
Purbalingga Regency, starting from February 2021 to July 2021. The data used are
primary and secondary data. Sampling was carried out using the census technique of
as many as 27 people.
The results of this study show (1). The roles of the Asri Wibowo Farmers
Group for each element are: (a) As a medium for learning and organizing in very
good criteria; (b) As a medium for cooperation in good criteria; (c) As a production
unit in good criteria. (2) Internal and external factors in increasing corn productivity
of the Asri Wibowo Farmer Group consisting of age, formal education, farming
status, length of farming, the intensity of extension as well as business facilities and
business climate are interrelated to each other. (3) Based on the calculation of the
chi-square test with SPSS 20.0 the role of farmer groups as a medium for learning
and organization, a media for cooperation, and the production unit has no
relationship with the increasing corn productivity of members of the Asri Wibowo
Farmer Group.
