Abstract
This study aims to improve science process skills and learning achievement of fifth graders at SDN 1 Beji by using the POE (Predict Observe Explain) learning model in science learning. The population used in this study was fifth grade students at SDN 1 Beji. The method used is Quasi Experimental Design. The data obtained in the form of students' science process skills and student achievement were taken from the pre-test and post-test questions. The data analysis technique used the t test to determine the effect of each independent variable (x) on the dependent variable (y). The results showed that the POE learning model had an effect on students' science process skills and student learning achievement which was increasing according to the KKM achieved. Based on the results of these studies, it can be concluded that the POE learning model can improve science process skills and learning achievement for fifth grade students at SDN 1 Beji, Bojongsari Purbalingga District.
