This descriptive qualitative research aimed to describe the satire contained in the
comment collection of Gritte Agatha Youtube channel uploaded in September-
October 2020. The object of this research was the satire speech figure contained
in the comment collection, while the data of this research were the comments
containing written language style. The approach used in this research was
stylistic. The data collection was started with reading and understanding all
comments, then noting the data of comments containing satire. The data analysis
technique included data collection, data reduction, and data display. The results
showed that the comments on Gritte Agatha Youtube channel uploaded in
September-October 2020 contained satire speech figures including irony,
cynicism, sarcasm, satire, and innuendo. All of those satire speech figures can be
found in the comment collection of Gritte Agatha Youtube channel uploaded in
September-October 2020.
